Frequently Asked Questions

A WOMANS CENTER OF HOLLYWOOD is a medical facility in Hollywood, Florida that provides a wide variety of gynecological services. We want you to feel comfortable every time you visit us, so for your peace of mind, we have compiled our answers to the most common inquiries about our women’s health solutions on this page.

Is abortion safe?

Yes, it is one of the safest basic surgeries done in the US, and we are here to make you feel at ease during the entire procedure. You can expect to receive unparalleled medical services from our seasoned doctors and friendly staff. Two weeks after the surgery, we will set an appointment with you so we can check your health and well-being.

Will the procedure hurt, and what will you provide for pain?

Regardless of the method you choose, we will be with you every step of the way. We have various torment solutions, including those that can be taken at home for pharmaceutical fetus removal and nearby anesthesia for surgical patients.

Can I still have children later on?

There is absolutely no proof that fetus removal results in infertility even if it is undergone by a patient more than once. Most of the women who come to us have children.

How early can I get an abortion?

Nowadays, due to technological advances, it is easy to find out if a woman is pregnant. If you will end your pregnancy early, you can choose either medication abortion or early surgical abortion. The former involves taking a pill at our facility and finishing the process in the comfort of your own home. We offer pregnancy tests free of charge as well as ultrasound to women looking for immediate answers.

Please note that it is possible for pregnancies as early as 1 to 3 weeks not to be recognized by ultrasound. If that happens, we will reschedule you for the test 1 week or 2 weeks later.

If you prefer to determine your length of pregnancy on your own but are having trouble with it, contact us so we can assist you.

How late can I have an abortion?

This depends on the US state where you live. Currently, in Florida, we can accommodate you for the procedure if you are anywhere from 3 to 23 weeks pregnant.

Is the surgical abortion or the pill abortion method better?

Either is completely safe, and they are offered at nearly the same rates, so the final decision is up to you. Patients undergo surgery because the removal of the fetus can be confirmed at once, while those who go for the “abortion pill” prefer the privacy of their place of residence. Whatever your preference may be, we are here to be of help to you.

Will there be protesters outside the facility?

Unfortunately, this is possible, but you don’t have to bother interacting with them. If, however, they trigger your curiosity about other pregnancy alternatives, know that we are open to discussing those matters with you too. Rest assured that they are not allowed on our property.

Can I bring anyone with me for support during the abortion?

Yes, this is perfectly acceptable, whether you want family members or any loved one to accompany you on your visits. However, please note that the physician will monitor them closely the entire time.
